Sienna Sees and plumbing advice frozen pipes

Sienna Sees  Oil on wood, 8" x 8," SOLD
A bit of drama here recently:  Our pipes froze!  This was evidenced by both the washing machine and the kitchen sink not working...  To make matters worse, our old house has various add ons and the pipes in question were nearly inaccessible.  We took several measures to remedy the problem with no success. This included calling plumbers, all of whom were booked fixing other peoples frozen pipes.  My ever-resourceful husband then discovered this "hot shot pipe thawer" on the internet...  and we were able to rent one.  He attached it to the ends of the frozen pipe, switched it on and presto-voila the ice melted and the water flowed! It literally took less than five minutes....  (Kudos, Babe!)  Who knew such a product existed?! If you live in a cold climate and don't have access to your pipes--try it!

  2. Hilarious! While I am reading this I am also writing a blog post about the contents of my mini fridge freezing and exploding! Crazy cold weather. Great painting. Love the vine coming out of the little vase. Very Clever.
